I am super excited to tell you that in 2012 we will have monthly meetings! We have the building every third Tuesday of the month. There are so many things we need to be learning, this will give us the perfect opportunity! It will also help us develop our friendships quicker, because we will see each other more often! Gifts-in-a-jar Peppermint Stick Hot Cocoa

This is a recipe my cousin sent me Peppermint stick-hot chocolate link (don't want to get in trouble for copying, I'm not sure of the etiquette of blogging:-)

I did not make this one, but how could it not be good!!! Plus it is super pretty to look at.

Peppermint Stick Hot Cocoa

  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy

Preparation

  • Layer powdered milk, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, chocolate chips, and peppermint candy.
Note: This mix will fill a 1-quart jar (12 servings), but if your containers are different sizes, just keep the ratio of ingredients constant. On the back of the tag, write: "Mix contents in a large bowl. For each serving, place 1/3 cup cocoa mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup boiling water. Store remaining mix in airtight container."
